A mocktail that feels like waking up in South East Asia - soft sounds, bright flavours and that delicious ‘everything will be alright’ energy.
Lemongrass gives it that spa feel. Lychee brings the beach. And the bone broth? It's your inner warrior in a silk robe, giving you collagen, protein and the power to live your best damn life.
Ingredients (per serving):
- ½ stalk of lemongrass, gently crushed and squeezed into the glass
- 10 cl lychee juice
- ⅛ lime (squeezed and dripped in with the peel)
- ice cubes
- 20 ml falernum (homemade - see below)
For the falernum (makes ~85 ml / 5 portions):
- 100 ml water
- 15 g JARMINO bone broth concentrate
- 2 star anise
- 5 cloves
- 10 g blanched almonds
- 20 g sugar
Preparation
Step 1 - Prepare the falernum:
- Bring the water, bone broth concentrate, star anise, cloves, almonds and sugar to the boil. Simmer for a few minutes until the flavours mingle like old friends in a rooftop bar.
- Leave to cool completely. Strain if required. This amount is enough for 5 drinks.
Step 2 - Preparing the drink:
- Squeeze the chopped lemongrass into the rim of your glass.
- Add the lychee juice and squeezed lime.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Pour in 20ml of your homemade falernum.
- Stir gently.
- Sip it as if you were watching the sunrise in a hammock.
