A chilled, macadamia nut-based bone broth drink that sounds wild - because it is. It's also insanely good for you.
Think of this drink as the glow-up. Macadamias meet minerals. Chia seeds float like glitter in the wellness centre. Bone broth delivers it all in a calm, cool format that's 100% cool and 0% boring.
Ingredients (makes 8 servings):
Nut milk:
- 100 g macadamia nuts
- 400 ml water
Bone broth base:
- 400 ml water
- 50 g JARMINO bone broth concentrate
- 15 g rock sugar
- 12 g chia seeds
Preparation:
Step 1 - Make the nut milk:
- Puree the macadamia nuts with 400 ml water for 3 minutes on the highest setting (Thermomix or any other good blender is suitable).
- Strain through a nut milk bag, cheesecloth or a fine sieve. You now have a silky, dreamy nut milk.
Step 2 - Prepare the stock base:
- Bring 400ml of water to the boil.
- Add the bone broth concentrate and rock sugar.
- Stir until dissolved, then leave to cool.
- Once the mixture has cooled, add the chia seeds and leave to soak. They will expand and work their magic.
Step 3 - Combine and serve:
- Combine the nut milk and chilled broth in a 1:1 ratio.
- Stir well.
- Serve cold.
- Sip. Leave to float. Repeat.
