Creamy Chicken Rice Skillet with Peas and Bone Broth

The chicken bone broth concentrate brings a gentle, savory broth base to this dish, making the rice skillet wonderfully creamy and full of flavor.

Time: about 25 minutes

Ingredients

* 180 g rice, such as short grain or basmati
* 1 small onion, finely diced
* 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
* 150 g peas, frozen or fresh
* 1 small carrot, finely diced
* 650 ml water
* 25–30 g JARMINO Chicken Bone Broth Concentrate
* 2 tbsp cream cheese, crème fraîche, or cream
* Salt, pepper
* Optional: cooked chicken, parmesan, parsley, lemon zest

Preparation

  1. Sauté the onion in olive oil or butter until translucent.
  2. Add the rice and carrot, then briefly sauté together.
  3. Stir in the water and JARMINO Chicken Bone Broth Concentrate.
  4. Let it gently simmer over medium heat for about 15–18 minutes, until the rice is tender, stirring frequently.
  5. Add the peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  6. Mix in cream cheese or crème fraîche, then season with salt, pepper, and a touch of lemon zest to brighten the flavors.
  7. For an extra boost, serve with cooked chicken or a sprinkle of Parmesan.
